Resumo

O presente estudo tem como objetivo investigar a presença das pessoas divinas da Trindade no livro de Daniel. Para determinar o entendimento do autor sobre a divindade, são examinadas as referências a Deus. Em seguida, são examinadas as referências a outros personagens cujas descrições têm conotações divinas, tais como: "Ancião de dias", "Filho dos deuses", "Filho do homem", "Príncipe dos exércitos", "Príncipe dos príncipes", "Messias, o príncipe", "Príncipe da aliança", "Homem vestido de linho", "Miguel", "Espírito dos deuses santos" e "espírito extraordinário". Para cada referência, é apresentada uma breve descrição do debate interpretativo e, em seguida, a expressão é examinada em seu contexto histórico-literário a fim de descobrir se ela alude ou não a alguma das pessoas divinas da Trindade. O estudo conclui que, embora não haja nenhuma referência explícita à Trindade no livro de Daniel, há indícios da pluralidade divina e também alusões claras às pessoas divinas da Trindade.
