Resumo: Os fariseus figuraram como uma das principais seitas do Judaísmo do
Segundo Templo, tendo participação ativa na vida religiosa e política dos judeus
daqueles dias. O presente artigo busca por meio de pesquisa histórica e arqueológica
discutir o surgimento deste grupo bem como sua relevância no cenário religioso e
político do Segundo Templo.
